eDistrict
e-District project is one of the State MMPs under the NeGP Programme of Govt. of India. Kannur and Palakkad were the first district to implement eDistrict in the state. The statewide roll out of the project was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala on 17/10/2010 in Thalasserry, Kannur. 100% omplementation of the project w.r.t certificate module of Revenue department is achieved covering 129 Villages and 3 Taluk offices

KSITM is the SDA (State Designated Agency) for implementation. A total of 180 Akshaya Centres in the district were identified as CSCs for the service delivery points under this project. C-DIT is the agency giving training and hand holding support to the project. The software is developed by NIC Kerala

Applications for 23 certificates issued by the Revenue Department through village offices and Taluk offices can be filed at the CSCs. All the 129 villages in Kannur District are enabled for certificates issue through eDistrict portal. So far, around 4,21,458 applications are submitted through the CSCs and about 3,71,486 certificates were approved and issued by the village officers in Kannur. This is one of the major achievements under the eDistrict projects piloted all over India. A series of training to village staff, taluk staff and Akshaya Entrepreneurs on computer basics and eDistrict software were conducted at Academic Hall,Collectorate. Modules such as RTI, PG are ready for roll out. 129 villages, taluks, RR Thalassery RDO office is connected under eDistrict.
